Advanced Settings — Fine-tune the result

Alpha Matting

Blends edges smoothly instead of hard-cutting them. Enable for portraits with hair, fur, or semi-transparent objects. Disable for logos, icons, or graphics with clean hard edges.

Foreground Sensitivity

Controls how aggressively the AI keeps foreground pixels. Higher values (250–270) keep more of the subject but may leave background artifacts. Lower values (100–200) trim more aggressively — useful if subject edges look rough.

Background Sensitivity

Controls how aggressively the AI removes background pixels. Lower values (1–10) strip the background more cleanly. Higher values (20–50) are more conservative — useful if parts of your subject are being accidentally removed.

Edge Softness

Sets the width of the blending zone around edges. Higher values (15–30) create softer, more feathered edges — ideal for hair or fluffy subjects. Lower values (1–5) give sharper, crisper cutouts for clean-edged objects.

Post-process Mask

Applies a cleanup pass to the AI-generated mask — fills small holes, smooths jagged pixel edges, and removes tiny floating artifacts. Keep ON for best results in most cases. Disable only if the cleanup is over-smoothing fine details.

Remove White Residue

After AI removal, scans for remaining near-white pixels and makes them transparent. Perfect for logos, graphics, or product photos originally on white backgrounds. May remove white parts of the subject itself — use with the threshold slider below.

White Threshold

Defines how "white" a pixel must be to get removed (R, G, B all above this value). 255 = only pure white. 235 = removes slightly off-white/cream shades too. 200 = very aggressive, may eat into light-colored subjects. Start at 240 and lower gradually.
